Result of experimental Huba ducks at Dai Xuyen ducks research center
Dai Xuyen Duck Research Center was imported 600 eggs from Hungary for hatching with the number of ducks hatched was 449 ducks,conduct experimental Huba duck. Studying over 3 generations of Huba ducks, the results showed that: appearance characteristics of Huba duck at 24 weeks of age and mature duck were stable withwing feathers, dark blue-black head feathers,the beak and legs of duck were pale yellow, blue-black and dark gray.The Dud duck has lighter feathers than the Wid duck. The survival rate of Huba ducks reached from 93.33% to 96.49%, the laying age was at 24-26 weeks of laying, the weight at laying was 2271.51-2388.56g/femal duck, the egg yield was from 205.07 to 220.13 eggs/hen/52 weeks of laying, consuming 3.25-3.36 kg of food/10 eggs. Huba ducks have the ability to adapt to the climate conditions in Vietnam and the rearing process at Dai Xuyen Duck Research Center
