Efficacy assessment of Fertagyl và PGF2α in estrus synchronization on Red Angus crossbred cows and Charolais crossbred cows at Ruminant Research and Development Center
The aim of this study to assess efficacy of Fertagyl và PGF2α in estrus synchronization on Red Angus crossbred cows and Charolais crossbred cows at Ruminant Research and Development Center. The study was conducted on 980 cows (490 Red Angus crossbred cows and 490 Charolais crossbred cows). The cows were healthy, free of infection and reproductive diseases, weight ≥400 kg, aged from 3-6 years. The study was conducted from July 2022 to December 2023. The results showed that: The estrus rate, pregnancy rate throught 2 mating times and mating coefficient of pregnant of Red Angus crossbred cows were 68.78%, 78.89% and 1.81 time/pregnant respectively. The estrus rate, pregnancy rate throught 2 mating times and mating coefficient of pregnant of Charolais crossbred cows were 68.98%, 78.77% and 1.82 time/pregnant respectively. In conclusion, Red Angus crossbred cows and Charolais crossbred cows can be use Fertagyl và PGF2α in estrus synchronization.
