The model of raising high-quality, productive sows and enhancing biosecurity measures was implemented in Soc Trang province from August 2022 to December 2023 with 03 participating households (20 sows/household x 3 households = 60 sows) and 01 household outside the model with 10 sows. The monitoring indicators include: survival rate through stages: Some reproductive indicators: number of live newborns/litter, number of weaned pigs/litter, number of weaned pigs/sow/year, feed intake. Group of indicators to evaluate the results of raising biosecurity sows: Production value (GO), intermediate costs (IC): value added (VA): Total costs (TC): Net income (MI): Profit margin (TPr) and evaluate economic efficiency on costs and intermediate costs. The results showed that: The model of raising high-quality, productive sows and enhancing biosecurity measures in Soc Trang province increased the number of newborns and weaned pigs by 4% and 5.7%, respectively, and the economic efficiency was 15.83% higher than households outside the model.
