The study was conducted to evaluate the effects of turmeric leaf powder supplementation on the growth performance and disease resistance of broiler chickens. A total of 117 chickens were evenly divided into three treatment groups (T1: no turmeric leaf powder; T2: supplemented with 1% turmeric leaf powder; T3: supplemented with 1,5% turmeric leaf powder) and reared until 15 weeks of age. The results showed that turmeric leaf powder supplementation did not affect the survival rate of broilers (100%). Chickens supplemented with turmeric leaf powder exhibited a higher growth rate at 15 weeks of age compared to those not receiving the supplement. The body weights at 15 weeks of age for T1, T2 (1%), and T3 (1,5%) were 2218,55 g, 2376,34 g, and 2395,06 g per bird, respectively (P<0,05). The average feed conversion ratios (FCR) for T1, T2 and T3 were 2,92; 2,69 and 2,64, respectively (P<0,05). Additionally, chickens in the turmeric-supplemented groups were not infected with coccidiosis and exhibited better growth performance compared to the control group. Therefore, it is recommended to supplement turmeric leaf powder at levels of 1%–1,5% in broiler production to not only maintain good growth but also prevent coccidiosis in chickens.
