Reproductive performances of Wagyu crossbred cattle in Ben Cat Livestock Research Station Ho Chi Minh city
Research on the reproductive performance of heifer crossbred between Wagyu bull semen straw with Red Angus crossbred cows (Red Angus x Brahman crossbred) and Red Angus crossbred cows (Red Angus x Sind crossbred) in Ben Cat Livestock Research Station- Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine for Southern Vietnam. A total of 50 heifers comprised of 25 heads (Wagyu × (Red Angus × Brahman crossbred), WRB) and 25 heads (Wagyu × (Red Angus × Sind crossbred), WRS). The results showed that: The age at first insemination of Wagyu crossbred was 17.14 months (WRB: 17.29 months and WRS: 16.99 months). The age at first calving of Wagyu crossbred was 26.44 months (WRB: 26.65 months and WRS: 26.24 months). Throught the study, it can be concluded that Wagyu crossbred had good reproduction in Ben Cat, Ho Chi Minh city.
